A dialogue with a team from Climate-KIC, which is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, a branch of the European Union. Organized by NYU Florence student Isabelle Caraluzzi.

Join us on May, 4 for an LPD x Sustainability Squad discussion with members of the European Union’s climate innovation initiative “Climate-KIC”, a branch of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology. Departing from the stereotyped, fearmongering-style of discourse on climate change and sustainability, this dialogue will instead seek to answer the question: “How can we reconcile our drive for success in the modern world with our responsibility for preserving the global environment?” Our panelists will explore topics such as sustainable technology, new business opportunities, market innovation, and student empowerment. The goal of this dialogue is to shed light on how various individuals and organizations have discovered ways to use the current state of the environment to their economic and developmental advantage, while positively impacting the planet’s health at the same time. Overall, we hope this discussion will inspire confidence in students to act as agents of change in whatever professional field they choose to pursue.
