La Pietra Dialogues, the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, the Italian Trade Commission, Toscana Promozione and the U.S. Consulate General held the international conference Tuscany and the United States: Cooperating for a Cleaner Tomorrow on October 6 from 9:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Villa Sassetti. A diverse group of panelists including scholars, scientists, policy-makers and entrepreneurs met to discuss how to simultaneously promote economic develoment and work towards a cleaner environment: differences in legislation and incentives between Italy and the United States, the state of research, technology-transfers, intellectual property issues, the commercialization of services and the materials and immaterial goods in the vase landscape of renewable energy resources.
